Really enjoyed saturday.  3 fer with the ball after losing the toss and bowling them out for 145 in 32 overs.  Opened and rode my luck a couple of times, but eventually passed 50.  A few regular wickets saw us needing 60 from the last 10 overs.  Starting shifting through the gears and ended up winning us the game 7 down with 11 balls to spare on 95 not out.

Sweaty doesn't even do it justice.

Lost in a cup semi-final last night

It's a good thing the venue had no shower facilities or I may have tried to drown myself last night. I really hate cricket at the moment  :(

Played an all day game yesterday in scorching heat at John Lyon School against the 1XI as part of their cricket week.

Opened the batting, hit one nice shot for 4 straight then got yorked. An in form me is keeping it out, but totally out of form missed it completely. Good ball to be fair to the bowler, shaped in late. We ended up 164 ao.
JL ended up 96/9, last pair hanging on for a couple of overs to get the draw, including the last ball being played down and bouncing over the stumps. Personally got a catch and 3/2/2/1.

Seeing as I am again out of work, after this weekend I am transferring back to Chalfont for the rest of the season as I can't afford the travel. I will take another look at things after I come back from Aus and make a decision on where I play next season then.

Our club is doing well in our inaugural season, but 12 innings without reaching double figures (including (No Swearing Please) end of last season) means I have stepped aside and the kit is locked away under the stairs for at least the rest of this year. Still looking at kit and a new bat, but then I check my stats and remind myself and shouldn't be spending £300 on a new stick!

Stopped being fun when I was failing every week and letting the team down. Have been keeping well, but I didn't start cricket to catch a ball all weekend!

Pleased to see some of you going well!

Midweek league last night.

We bottom, faced top. And we were not only short, but no stumper in site.

The night @Simmy answered the call and drove down for a game.

They made 130 for 8, one guy with 80 carried them and he was dropped ish on 50(both fielders left it for each other)

In typical fashion and me feeling great a lately, I got 13 of 15 balls. No boundary’s. Felt awful and didn’t middle owt.

Simmy got us off to a decent start, 18 of first over and a ball, before he got done by the sun.

We got to within 3 runs, and should have won, but low sun behind bowlers arm meant it was near impossible to get runs from that end.

Oh well bring on Saturday and the cup.

Through to finals day in our T20 comp with 3rd win from 3 games and a game still to easiest win so far bowling them out for 109 and chasing it for the loss of 1 inside 11 overs.

Look forward to our clubs first finals day against what I would imagine will be at least 2 east Anglia a premier league sides

YES... first 50 in a long long long time last night and I really enjoyed it despite being completely knackered and chopping on when on 52. I was in a century opening partnership that saw us both bring up our 50's (me in the 7th over and my partner in the 8th - 8 ball overs) we ended our 14 overs on 168 and always had the game in control to bring home the win.

What was even more pleasing was the way I was hitting the ball, pretty clean most of the time and I only gave 1 half chance, skying the ball into a gap between the bowler and the 2 men at long on/off... which is almost as satisfying as the 50 (I have been giving the opposition way to many chances at getting me out this year).....

Not too bad considering we drew cards for the batting order.... good old no 2.

Managed a 6fer on wednesday in our midweek league. First time Ive ever managed more than four wickets in a game. On the downside, two hattrick chances missed and failed again with the bat.  Hey ho.

Today will be the third game I've missed on a holiday/wedding/visit in-laws trip... outbreaks of shadow batting are becoming uncontrollable.

Good win today by over 200 runs me and opening partner put on 110 for the first wicket in 20 overs but more importantly  was the was the spirit of the game easily the best bunch of guys we've played against all season.
A pleasure to play against.

Another good win, oppos bowled out for 104, we knocked em off for 1
Still unbeaten, and playing as a team , can’t ask for more than that

I got a few runs, can’t remember how many, and bowled ok for an old chap
