Yeah I think it is pretty even overall. Mumbai have more power in their batting lineup, SRH bowling attack is probably fractionally better.

Shoutout to Markande btw who bowled very well first game. Intrigued to see how he gets on today.

Two games in and CSK already have to play their home games back in Pune. Ah, cricket and politics.

I worry that Sunrisers batting is a little pedestrian and Warner a big miss.

Opening with Dhawan and Williamson is just not devastating enough IMO. Williamson is a 120 s/r specialist.

Mumbai have a powerpacked side with the Pandya brothers, Lewis, Sharma and gun bowling spearheaded by Bumrah. I fancy Mumbai for this one. Really like the makeup of their side. Should be a classic

Williamson didn't open in the 1st game - Saha did and Williamson batted 3. There is also the possibility of changing things up now Hales has been in India a while as well and opening with him if they wanted to.

Which overseas gets dropped for Hales thogh? Stanlake? Because it's difficult to see them dropping Shakib or Rashid. And KW is captain? I don't think theyll change their side. FWIW I don't rate Saha either

Looks like Roy is nailed on for the Drinks Carrier awards at Surrey, although Foakes winter will prove a tough one to beat

I didn't say they would change it... merely pointed out it is an option if you don't want Saha or Williamson to open the batting. As you say getting Hales into the side is tough because 3 out of the 4 overseas are pretty much nailed on to play every game.

Yup. If it was me I'd drop Williamson for Hales and let Shikha D captain

Warner would have opened for srh had he been there.

So what would the xi and other 3 overseas had been had that been the case?

If they decide they need hales to open, merely returning to the team make up they planed with Warner would be the way they’d go.

Pretty sure it would have been Williamson dropped for Warner and other 3 overseas the same.

The issue is that Warner was previously SRH Captain, that captaincy then got cascaded down to Williamson thus now making him almost "undroppable"

They won't drop Williamson until they lose a few or he isn't scoring for them.

Never bought the argument drs takes too long for t20 cricket. Credit to the IPL for introducing it. I’m sure the likes of tendulkar and dravid still protest about it
