finally managed to finish it, not an easy thing to do with no workshop but its done at last. feels and picks up great. by no means perfect but it is the best one ive done so far. love the two tone wood and i think the butterfly marks look fantastic. i did go for an exaggerated curve on the toe. i think i saw MS Dhoni using one like it so i thought i would try it.
35mm edges and 67mm spine. comes in at just over 2.9. really pleased with this one!

Nice job @tuffers007 , it looks fantastic and just in time for the new season. Such a rounded toe, really interesting. Do you think there's a theory behind that - save breaking the corners sort of thing?

Great to see another member making bats and experimenting.
Lovely looking bat. 😀

Not a fan of the rounded toe but like the look of it. Well done.

To be fair thats a quality effort and one you should be very proud of.
I love the way the rounded toe matches your face sticker it gives the bat a real sense of continuity. I also would be willing to be that there are some engineering advantages to that shape.... yes its not very in vogue when it comes to modern shapes but it removes word from an area it really adds no value (apart from appearance) and created a “thicker” toe should an impact come into play... I very much doubt the “missing” wood int the corners could actually be an issue... even in playing the Yorker.

Well done... i hope you score some runs with it!

i haven't thought about it that way to be honest. never been a fan of the straight toe. i saw ms dhoni using one recently and thought it looked great. i suppose his bat maker could have a reason for it.  i just liked it so thought why not try it. i must say that i think it did thicken the toe by a fair bit so maybe have strengthened it slightly.
