How Much are your 2018 Club Shirts?
« on: April 05, 2018, 10:16:35 AM »

I've just seen our club shop for this year  http://www.tylers-sportswear.co.uk/Catalogue/Sports-Webshops/Cricket-Clubs/Chertsey-CC

senior shirts are £26.50 and £31.75!!!!!!!!!!! This seems frikkin' expensive to me!!!  Does anyone know what these sorts of thing cost for the club to buy and what is everyone else paying for their kit?

I think it will depend on what shirts you are buying, some are quite expensive...

At my old club they were 25, but the kicker was that the postage was nearly a tenner and they always arrived several weeks late.
Think my previous club subsidised them so they were 15?

We use surridge, think the short sleeve is roughly £25 and the long sleeve around £31, jumpers are roughly the same the one plus side we have is that one of the lads parents have their own alterations/embroidery firm so we get them to stitch the badge and place the sponsor on for next to nothing

We’ve got the top grade of surridge shirts, £35 and £37. But that includes embroidery and 3 sponsors hence the bumped priced.

The quality is worth it imo, same grade as the pros and we’ve got our sponsors on 3 yr contracts so not asking for a new shirt to be bought each year

We have a club shop with Serious Cricket/Sport and ours are £25 including Club embroidery - delivery on top of £5.

Shirts are decent but not outstanding i would say.

We also do a deal for any new members to the club get a free playing shirt and cap if they pay the subs in full before the 1st league game - that way everyone goes out on the pitch looking the same with the sponsors logo etc...

Ours are from Serious Cricket this year

£27.99 for short sleeve
£32.99 for long sleeves

That's with our club logo, the main sponsor on the front and a sponsor on one sleeve.

Ok - so the shirt prices aren't that much out of line then. It just felt a bit steep as we pay £120 annual membership and £8 per game, and the shirts are not included in that.

We pay £10 as they are subsidised. We have 1 sponsor.
My daughters club have 9 sponsors on their shirt. Her shirt cost £26 and bobbled after a couple of washes.
I would have thought that the more sponsors you had the cheaper the shirt would be. Clearly I'm mistaken. The more sponsors you have the more you pay to advertise for them. Rip off
