Super Light Colossus
« on: April 07, 2018, 10:01:16 AM »

Been thinking about getting a stick from Kippax for a while now and finally took the plunge. Gave them a quick call and went through what I wanted etc.

They sent me through a few photos on instagram of what they had to offer. I was looking for something really light around 2'7. I asked if the bat would be the same volume as a 2'10 or whether the bat would be smaller to make it lighter. they confirmed the bat would be the same size as most of their Colossus. obviously its not as big as some of their earlier Colossus bats because of the new regs.

The bat isn't the prettiest but it really does PING! if your a grain lover then look away. I've certainly come to realise that grains really aren't everything! I have a Player edition gray nics kaboom from aus with 'perfect' grains and the Kippax pings better than that.

Bat weighs 2.7 and has 41mm edge. Anyway here are some pictures:

That looks insane for 2.7. Great purchase!

Don’t have any calipers so eye balling it with a ruler it looks about 62/63mm

Impressive for the weight and I’m sure it pings nicely but if that cost £350 I’d be concerned

Why? Surely bats are designed to hit a ball a long way. Not to sit on a shelf and look pretty! I know a lot of people forget this...
(Kippax we’re very good with their pricing let’s just say that).
