New order!

My previous B3 expired during winter nets, but due to a previous offer from The Dr I have placed a new order today with the following specs:

Shape 19, 3 stripe, slightly oval handle, 2lb8, white stickers and white grip. Basically, I got an identical bat as I loved my previous one so much!

Tom has been incredibly helpful and made the whole transaction really easy. I can't rate the customer service highly enough!

I will find some pictures of my old one when it arrived and then compare the new one with the old when it arrives. I'm just a little bit excited! I have also found a DB1 on eBay that I am eying up.

New weapon arrived yesterday. Not quite so pretty as the previous one but slightly bigger edges. Picks up a bit heavier, weighs 2lb9 by my antique scales. Beautifully made as expected. I have included pics with the old one for comparison.

Nice bat mate, shame about that knot but its away from the main playing surface.

Thats the beauty with B3, once you've found a shape you like you can order as many as you want knowing they will all be the same.

Just curious as to why your previous B3 gave up the ghost?

@liscon12 this is the splice from each side. Started to go early last season, Streaky couldn't give any accurate lifespan which is why I got 50% off my new one. Started getting massive vibrations during a net a couple of months back, got my best mate to try it and he had the same issue, had a look and this was the state of the splice:

@19reading87 I admit I was initially, my immediate thought was that I should have spent the extra for an LE, but having tapped a ball up the response is outstanding. B3 did also send it with a padded case, which I hadn't ordered, so I can't complain! Next time I will definitely go for an LE I think.

Shape 19. The bat ID is 4745 on the old one, 6799 on the new one. Either of those numbers will get you the same specs (2lb8, slight oval handle, white stickers/grip, 3 stripe).

Very nice shape and looks a decent size for the weight I must say though the knot is a bit disappointing on that grade bat as 3 stripe should be G1 which really should mean blemish free although its right on the edge. That’s the 2nd top end B3 that’s come
Out with a blemish on the face but I guess if doesn’t impact performance than no drama and as long as your happy hope it scores you many a run

The response is fantastic from tapping up. Im sure it will score me a few runs, just need to get to the middle!
If you look at the picture comparing the faces of my old and new B3s, you can see a small knot by the top of the scuff sheet line. It never affected performance, so im hopeful this will be the same although obviously it is more in the playing area. I do like a bit of character in a bat, besides grains, so despite my initial disappointment at the knot im very pleased with the bat and will recommend B3.

Yes, the knot would annoy me on a top of the range model.  Lovely stick in all other ways mind.

Morning all, I remember picking the cleft and at the time there was a tiny mark. This has obviously become more pronounced during the sanding phase. The bat was tested and only sent to you because the performance was so good otherwise we would have made another.

If you’re unhappy with the knot I would be happy to replace the bat.
