Yorkshire vs Essex

Binned without a ball being bowled, absolute disgrace for an international venue. I thought they'd just spend a wedge on new drainage?

Yeah absolutely ridiculous that a bowl hasn't been bowled. Questions need to be asked. All other counties have dealt with the rain fine.

More of a disgrace that these fixtures aren't being played at a sensible time of year.

It'll be the ECB or IPL's fault.

Playing Championship cricket up North in early April....I'll blame t'ECB then 😀

Not that simple really - I know the weather has been awful there for three solid weeks, not certain much could have been done different. And it's more points than we got from Essex at Scarborough last year... 😂

IPL’s fault! “Taking our players and abandoning our games”. #iplexit

Totally understand why Essex have to hump to be honest, a top test ground should of had play in some of the four days.if you read the newspaper reports there's been no rain in over 30 hours.

If there is nothing wrong with the drainage system as Yorkshire have said, and there's been no rain for that long why has there been no play?

Totally get its not great conditions but neither has it been for anyone else....

Very poor from an international ground. every other county game got some play in I believe (correct me if I'm wrong!) do these things get looked into or does it just get forgotten about?

I think it's absolutely scandalous to be honest. You can say all you like about that we shouldn't be playing CC cricket in April and ECB this and T20 that etc.... etc....

At the end if the day Headingley is a Test match ground with new drainage. How have they not bowled a ball in 4 days when it only rained a little bit on day 3.

I know it has chucked it down up north but it's chucked it down everywhere. Just cover the whole ground if you need to!
