Pet hate is a bat with stickers that don’t belong.

Yup that bugs me, hence why I'd be a fake FKW. Seen some nice GN bats but really not sure I want to pay that much when there's better value out there...

I’m afraid I am and always have been a FKW right down to the bag and thigh guards and including Wicket keeping kit.
Personally own FKW from bag up from GM, GN and Newbery at the moment, personally just makes me feel like the Pro I wish I was I guess lol.
My club is a mix of half are FKW 3 Woodstock sponsored and the other half are not bothered at all really

Bat and helmet aside everything is New Balance. I play cricket to look good, not score runs.

I match pads and gloves as much as I can, got to take some pride in your appearance after all! Prefer not to match the full set but do end up with same brand bat occasionally as my favoured wet bat is a Puma and I prefer their softs.

Never mind same brand kit though - what this is really about though is the full matching same brand/range/colour affair, preferably plus shoes etc. Makes you look a right berk, let's be honest...

I do often think it would be far easier to have a devil may care attitude and simply pick the most comfortable gloves and pads, no matter what the brand. Then i realise that's all I'd be thinking about when batting...

I used to match colours, not brands. Let's put that down to the impetuousness of youth...

I do however think that once you are playing at a good enough level where player's are sponsored it's entirely acceotable to be a FKW.  That many Indian players are not really bugs me!

I accidentally almost did that!

Have kookaburra ghost softs, kookaburra indoor shoes, masuri and a blank bat to net with!

Didn’t realise till week 2 of nets 🙈

Yes. The fact that they mislead people into buying products that they don't actually use themselves does not sit comfortably with me.

Apart from one season I've always been an fkw. Always used to be Kookaburra, then Legget and now GN. At the moment I have full GN softs but will be using B3/Hunts bat, maybe get a GN when I can afford! My mild ocd drives my parents mad- they complain about me devaluing bats by taking stickers off, but if the stickers don't go id prefer a plain bat!
Took stickers off my GM Flare a couple of years back, but colour wise that would have matched my Prestige kit.
Always have to have a plain white grip, and I add an Opening Up sticker as I'm a big supporter of what they do.

I am also of the view point that when you walk into bat looking the part (Nice neat kit etc) it gives you a psychological edge over the bowling side (abelt for one ball in some cases lol) but an edge non the less.

Only if you feel that way though, which is an important point I suppose. Alternatively, try some reverse psychology - try to con them into relaxing and thinking you'll be an easy wicket. Simple to do, just stroll out wearing one of these:

James Vince and I are waiting for style points to be introduced in cricket. Far more important than runs :)

James Vince has scored more than 8000 first-class runs.

Or as WG once may have said:
They have come to see my kit not you umpire.

Mostly in division 2 mind you...
