I have long moved on from buying a brand new, off the shelf cricket bat solely based on brand names and/or stickers. IMO, one should follow this philosophy only if he is a collector. You should put 220 in your wallet and visit various sports outlets to pick n feel various bats that are within your budget - and possibly hit a few balls in the nets if they have the facility available.
GM or GN for consistent performance in my opinion I would add BB to that list I have a couple that could fit your bill
Aren't these made by one of the brands already mentioned? Is it not cheaper to go direct?
I've seens some shocking GN bats in that price range.
Gray Nicolls I agree not always the best looking but ping wise always very very consistent iv always found and all the ones at our club 10 or so play well.GM lot more generous on grading and looks
I think it's cheaper to go via Neon with the forum discount, hense why I mentioned them...
Is a G1 Insignia or Caerulex not about 220? I rhink they are that ordered via Morrant. Top notch bats.
