Apologies for the delay and thanks a lot for all your answers/comments. I have been having trouble finding a heavier mallet here in the US. All the wooden mallets that I seem to find here are the same generic light ones which means you really have to go at it. However the hardware stores carry the nylon ones and i was wondering if i can use that instead. I will stick with the wooden one for now and see if i can get a heavier one custom made. Thanks once again for all your insights and i am definitely not taking a claw hammer to my SS Ranger :-)
