Morgan went one early to try and catch up ground lost. Skies one.

Bairstow walks passed one.

Root(probably the better choice early to concentrate on getting Buttler on strike) set off for his one without hitting the ball.

And Ali played a shot I expect a 2nd team tail ended to play...... not going well this but we can bounce back!

Oh dear, the mystery spinner runs through the middle order. Root and bairstow completely clueless.

All down to buttler

Jos as only faced 42 balls in  17 overs
England  will struggle to get 150

Bowled quite beautifully - made Bairstow, who is batting like he is facing a bowling machine on an ironing board, look like a third XI duffer.

All this talk about Kohli and his 'unfinished business' in England, forget about him. This lad Rahul is something else. What an extraordinary batsman.

The unfinished business if Varat scores big  conquers England wins in all formats his the worlds best player status will be beyond question.

Kohli is very good, if you watch some of his recent  interviews you realize how much he has matured which is pleasing to see and makes the on-field behaviour a bit more tolerable, but he does have score here in England.

KL Rahul is special to watch, people kept going on about Yuvi and then Rohit but Rahul is miles ahead of them in all formats. I hope he does well.

TBH winning any requisite series should be more important than whether Kohli can bury his demons. I'd be happy if Root averages 5 in the Test series but we still win

Inexperience showing from jake ball. The last over of the innings and everything was pitched short which allowed India to get up to 148 should have been around 140
