So some bb are stickered up blue, white or black.

Had a bit of a search but couldn't find out if this indicates something.

I'm sure someone must know ???

Blue = performance grade (grade 3/butterfly)
White = players grade (grade 2)
Black = Limited edition grade (grade 1)
Transparent = test grade (grade 1+)

Interesting then that the transparent stickers are on a bat with butterfly in the above link. did you request those stickers?

Would you not consider it to be a test grade bat because it has a butterfly on the back?

Oh I dont know - Im quite happy with butterfly and I dont really care about the look of the bat at all - I only ask as many manufacturers seem to call butterfly stained bats grade 3/4 and the first response in this thread suggested that a bb butterfly bat would receive the blue sticker.  I wondered if you could choose your preferred style of branding if buying direct or perhaps refurbing.

I definitely would not pay test price for a butterfly stained bats. From my knowledge the clefts are cheaper and they are harder to sell so why should i pay the same price for that as i would for something of a higher cost to the bat maker and that is more in demand than the butterfly? Ive got butterfly bats and they are amazing but nothing over £160 on a butterfly for me.

Do you know the cost of a G1 and G3 cleft to a bat maker? The difference in end price is more the price they can sell a bat for than the difference in the cost of the materials.

Equally is there less work to shape and finish a lower end bat than a high end one?

I can't imagine any bat makers think "this is only a grade 3, I'll rush it so I can spend more time on the grade 1's"

It obviously varies maker to maker but i wouldn't have thought there would be more than 20£ in it. Its purely principle why would i pay more for something that costs the maker less.

Is it just me or did I see some red stickers floating around a while ago?

Or maybe it was red and white?
