Best FKW thread
« on: July 16, 2018, 10:01:43 AM »

Morning all,

I recently swapped from a salix to an Aldred bat and the non FK is throwing my all the gear no idea OCD into madness as im still using my salix softs. So just got me thinking, who has the most kit from one brand? The complete FK setup, can include bats re-stickered so that they have the same brand as softs.

Please post pictures below to make a jealous Monday.

 :D :D :D

Aero pads.
Newbery/Uzi gloves.
Masuri helmet.
Unstickered Keeley match bat or stickered CA match bat.

Nobody cares if things don't match up. :)

I tried being a FKW, and didn't feel right ... I now just use what I feel most comfortable in...

- BAS Players pads - nice light and just snug now - in my second season with these- stick with them till they fall apart
- AM Monarch batting gloves - love the soft leather palm and so light - will buy new gloves for start of new season - will go with any Pakistani manufacturer
- P2 strippers - had P1s before but P2s do the job cant go back to normal thigh pads
- AM Monarch bat for 20/20 and against cheap balls in social cricket - JEDI custom for weekend league cricket.
- Mix of whites

Its the buying a piece of kit from a manufacturer that either doesnt make all/full kit or kit no one would ever buy.....that's what stuffs the fkw-ness.

my excuse is growing up my parents never really had the money to put me in the gear i wanted...i was always envious of the handful of kids i played against in a full kooka kit...insert a near 15 year break between playing in my youth and my come back 2 years ago the first thing i did was lash out to satisfy the kooka kit itch i had growing up...

the mcvicar gloves and new bat are somewhere within australia in a couriers hands atm so unfortunately they didnt make the cut for the photo...
