« on: July 20, 2018, 08:40:24 AM »

Hi guys, it's not very often I post on here due to being too busy in the workshop, but thought I would share with you all my latest replica creation of the iconic dynadrive.

Specs
37mm edges
60mm spine
Semi oval handle
2.10 dead.

Below are some photos during the making process and finished.

Looks great mate, such a cool shape. I appreciate this may be your secret to keep, but can you tell me how you make the scoops?

It's pretty simple really. It's all done on a spindle moulder. Just need the right cutter and setting it up to get it spot on. Took a bit of time to work out the depth of the cut and building a jig to hold the cleft in.

Tracing paper, a pencil, some old stickers and scissors haha. Just cut the shape out of some old stickers and cheated.
