I have an ancient GN Matrix wheelie bag that is absolutely full to burst with my kit now so i'm in the market for a new one.
I like the idea of the backpack style ones, anyone have any pros/cons for using these?
It needs to be big enough for all my kit with room to spare for matchday stuff (whites, towel, change of clothes etc).
I used to have a big Gray Nicolls bag with multiple compartments for the best part of 20 years and it did the job but I had to throw it away recently. I now have a kookaburra backpack one that opens like a rucksack with a drawstring at the top. I bought it with the overly-optimistic idea of cycling to games.
It works ok if all you intend to keep in it is your basic stuff like bat, gloves, pads, box, spikes. I keep all my other stuff that I take to games, like my whites, my caps, sunglasses, deodorant, towel, suncream, spare socks etc in a separate bag. I tried keeping everything together in the rucksack, it was a disaster as you couldn't find anything without emptying the whole thing out onto the floor.
