How deep towards the blade is the crack usually when they go there the bats had it/ not worth repairing.

Not as deep as the one in the photo, maybe 10-15mm. Will try and snap a photo tonight.

Keep using until it breaks mate not worth the money or time even trying when they go like that

I figured as much, anything can be done to slow it's demise though?

In my experience no, glue won’t hold as the vibration will be too much, possible tightly bound edge tape off the role all around may give some support but that’s the best bet I reckon, basically start enjoying the process of buying a new bat

I repaired one that had gone there with glue in the crack clamped followed by more glue  all around the outside of the damage and bind on the outside with thick string stuck onto the glue threaded through a slip knot  loop to pull the string tight.
But it wasn't that successful.

Had something similar done to my XXX. Didn’t think it’d hold up but it has, I have scored roughly 700-800 runs since the repair. Slight bit of vibration in the top half of the bat but to be fair there was some vibration there even before the Bat broke( possibly due to it being flat face/less wood in the top half/lack of binding in the handle or all of these reasons I’m not sure)
