Could some kind soul do a slow video of the knot batmakers use when finishing off the binding, they all do it to fast too see what�s going on on regular batmaking videos.

Works fine just glueing or taping the end but would like to do everything as neat as possible.

Might be I'm just a bit slow but I still can't follow it from that, even in slow mo.

Tie a loop with an off-cut piece of binding twine. Leave to one side.
1. Bind the handle until about 1/2 inch from the bottom.
2. Take The loop and place it against the handle. The top half of the loop will be on the bound part of the handle.
4. Complete the binding over the bottom half of the loop.
5. Once complete put the binding through the end of the loop.
6. pull the top half of the loop (the end about 1/2 inch from the bottom of the binding). This pulls the end of the binding under the binding on the handle . Cut where it comes out.

I can totally relate. But its very easy. Imagine tying your shoelaces. Its pretty similar. Take a piece of twine roughly 3-4 inches long (the longer the better). Make it into a loop (like u do when tying shoelaces). When ur about 5 or 6 turns away from the finish, put that loop in so that both ends face towards where u started the binding and the loop is towards where u intend to finish. Keep turning on top of the loop while making sure the 2 ends are sticking out and u can pull on them easily. When ur done with the binding simply pass the end of your twine through the loop sticking out at the end (like threading a needle) and hold it tight. Then pull on the 2 ends of the loop. Thats it. By the 4th of 5th try ull be a pro at it.

Legend. Took me a minute to figure out they were in reverse order, but no excuses not to manage it now. Just need to wait until I get home on Friday to give it a spin.

Thanks all, having now done this a few times I cannot believe how simple it is, and how hard I worked to figure it out, never realised there was an external lop involved, obvious when you think about it though.
