It seems to me that league balls which are not bat breakers but are not the best and have an initial hard lacquer and plastic sound off the bat are more suited to Indian type bats.

IV witnessed ton and ss bats hit them miles and the bats have high rebound off the ball.

But the high quality Keeley bats don't react to them nowhere as well however react well to the higher quality leather ball.

Observations from this season ... Anyone disagree ?

I ha e not experienced that myself. I think some bats may have a certain noise when hitting the ball but a good bat will go whTever ball is used.

The crap but non bat breaking balls we use in my league fly off my affinity when there hard and laquer covered.

The tons and SS etc seem to have more ping straight out of the gate I have observed . Merely discussion however ...

I can tell when a better quality ball is used straight away from the opposition on Sunday games it's a different sound hitting the bat..the sound of higher quality leather has a different sound to a cheaper ball

Cheap balls goes the same distance for a six v/s a non-cheap ball after rebounding from the face of my bats.

Good bats last a good while if there are no issues with handles; and, toes and edges are properly prepared/repaired. I also don't tap and lean against a bat's handle when getting ready to face a ball.

we have $16 balls in our league, they are a great deal for the price i.e. a higher standard ball.

My Keeley reacts because it is a great bat, ball has nothing to do with it. Same for CAs and Kranzies. I have used all three brands in match situations to great effect.

Partially agree.

The English bats do ping massively, but do tend to break a lot easier with cheaper quality balls. I tend to go through atleast a couple of bats a season, whereas some of my team mates have had the same TON or BAS bats that they've been using for 4-5 years.

Very odd, where do they tend to break? And where do your teammates bat relative to you? Having a couple of bats a season breaking would be worrying, perhaps a manufacturing issue if they're all from the same maker? Mind you, TON and BAS I don't tend to find have longevity issues compared to CA!

Have found cheap balls rebound exceptionally off the opposition bats but not mine...  Jokes aside, I do find GM bats eat the new ball for breakfast generally! Not sure if there's anything wrong with Keeley bats against cheap balls, but I generally avoid using any high end bats against cheap balls! (Generally avoid batting for long but still buy bats like crazy)
