New AS Champ
« on: August 22, 2018, 05:44:38 PM »

Waited for over two years for this cleft to arrive at the factory stock - and I think I kinda got lucky with it. It will be perhaps unfair to ask the factory to churn out these specs on mass scale.

40 mm edges

Zero Concaving

Square toe with thickest central part at 35 mm - Spine runs from toe to handle -

Mid to High Middle for counter balancing

Blemish free, 21 grainer at 2 lbs and 7 Oz

Grade 1+

£155 shipped to USA

I removed the embossed facial stickers which look similar to the ones on the back.

This thing looks absolute solid !!

Has that even been pressed/is it even full width?! Impressive specs, looks a gun. Let us know how you get on with it/If you find out it has a hollow handle and the cleft is hollowed.  :D Good job being so patient for the right bat

Yes, my very first spec was a full 108 mm face.

Yes 2 lbs and 7 Oz and not 2.7 lbs. I am aware of this niggle where many in Asia don't understand the difference.
Will upload the pics on a kitchen scale when I get home.

Yes, I have been buying directly from the factory for quite a few years now. They are based in Sialkot Pakistan and in my experience, they are the best Pakistani bat makers,  but also the most honest businessmen. (way above CA)

You can always reach out to Waqas Khalid. He takes good care of his clients.

That's a big bat fro the weight. Have ordered before direct from them twice. First time was a factory shape:  the willow was really good but the handle went after 6 months. Very decent size for the weight. 2nd time, it was a custom (2cm smaller blade). The weight was heavier than I asked for (1225 grams vs 1180 grams or 2lb 11+ vs 2lb 9.5) and slightly concaved. Given the weight and dimensions, was expecting a bigger bat.

The handle quality is still not great. But this one now has 4 rubber inserts.
