My Windies side would be:

Burns
Bairstow
Jennings
Root
Butler
Stokes
Foakes
Ali
Curran
Leach
Anderson

Swap Buttler and Bairstow and I reckon you're about there. An underrated thing in these slow conditions is that Jennings bowls very functional dobbers, and could bowl 5 to 8 overs a day if needed

Good rebuild by Bairstow and Root after 2 early wickets

I just watched the last 40 minutes before lunch. Sweeps galore! I don't remember England sweeping as often as in this series ever before. Good tactics!

Both Sri Lankas reviews gone before lunch aswell. Dickwella not helping Lakmal with his histrionics behind the stumps

Bairstow predictably getting a few now he's got a point to prove, if I was Joe Root I'd be tempted to wind him up more often! Does look like he's been in the nets too, technique much tighter than it was in the home summer.

I think Keaton has taken the Ali Cook big knock or nothing approach a bit too much to heart....

Awful shot from Root, but how on Earth was that not a no ball?

Can't quite believe Root did that. We were going at nearly 4s anyway.

well done Jonny, keep going son, barring injury theres probably only one spot available and hes got to take it

if he does hit 100 anyone fancy the Nasser one day celebration giving all sorts to anyone in the vicinity

we  all remember that right?  :)

I'm glad the commentator said about over appealing!
Bairstow may have got a feather on a leg-side shot but as SL have been appealing wildly every time the ball has been missed, it wasn't considered!

Think we might (hopefully) get a little bit of that day in Cape Town

Yep turn your back to your team mates on the  dressing room balcony and tap your shirt number with your bat.

Is there any way we can keep Bairstow with a chip on his shoulder? Seems to be proving a point
