Yeah I now realise sarcasm doesn’t really work over text!

Glad to see him score runs but, ironically, he may have just cost him self the gloves and given himself the number 3 spot for a while!

He isnt a long term No 3 for me. Yes he has scored a century but against a poor Sri Lankan side lets be honest.

Great that he's scored a ton, but will only be able to tell long term after a few more Tests in different conditions!
Jennings is the same. He has done enough to prove he can bat against spin, but that is not the full story. Jennings has looked a little uncomfortable against pace and seam! And as an opener in most conditions, that is not a good thing! So Jennings has done enough for the moment. Bairstow has done the same. Both long term? Time will tell.
