3 Stripe LE
« on: September 13, 2018, 01:50:22 PM »

Following on from the 'Which would you choose and why?' thread in the bats section, this beaut arrived this morning. As always huge thanks to Tom, Rich and the guys at B3 for another awesome bat. Made to my usual specs; 2lb9oz, shape 19, 3 stripe (went for an LE this time), semi-oval handle, ID number 7139. I changed the grip because I prefer a white grip on every bat. I will let the pictures do the talking for me!

It was made from the left cleft in this picture:

And sounds like this (please excuse the overly dramatic appearing look to camera at the start and finish!):

She is beautiful with the right curves and bulge. Knock her up nicely, mate.

Believe it or not, I'm getting hassle from my old man for changing the grip. I prefer a white grip whatever the stickers, he thinks because my last b3 unfortunately broke just after I'd removed the blue grip and put a white grip on it that this one will now do the same...

Looks like a similar shape to the GM Chrome which is a lovely shaped bat.

Personally I would prefer the heartwood stripe to be the same width the whole way down or handled the other end. If your a multiple grain lover than also very nice but personally I’m more of a 6-8 grains person.
Must say the bat does look classy with the Blue and white combo on the stickers and grip.
Hope it scores you lots mate

Personally with you on the grip, always has to be white for me.

Nice bat mate.

Why not just get them to put a white grip on?

You didn't slam the ball against/through the conservatory roof once, clearly a duffer...

I did ask for black stickers and white grip but I guess that got lost in the emails. I think blue and white looks great so I'm not fussed. I'm delighted with the bat, looking forward to doing some damage with it

I'm aware that ping tests elsewhere have been criticised for overzealous bouncing of ball on bat, I just wanted to know the sound of the ping tbh.
