In the past I have played hockey. However, I’m not feeling it this year so will probably just take it easy.
I’m always thinking of the next season, I look forward to seeing the fixtures etc. A bit sad really. The whole winter also gives time for the refurbs and repairs.

Had my best season with the bat this year but a couple of things to work on.

Running between the wickets for me - had a couple of run outs early in the season which led to me being a bit more wary of the quick single - i'll be opening again next year so need to work on this.
Fitness - I'm turning into a lazy fat thing as i get older so need to get my backside in the gym to work on that.

Anything else i'm not worrying about anymore. i'm old enough now that i know my technique isnt going to change so i'm comfortable with it and i think thats led to more runs as i dont worry about what i cant do anymore and enjoy what i can do!

I fancy next year I'll step away from league cricket and focus on sunday friendlies where I can actually enjoy it.

Don't want to intrude fellas but i've recently moved to North Bristol for work and could do with some regular nets throughout the winter as i'll remain playing in my home town and won't be able to net with my club. If i could join you dependant on location I would appreciate it

Never! Just started "winter" nets and already looking for end of season deals to kit up for '19. Currently, scoping GN pro performance pads... they will be mine.

Welcome to Bristol pal! You'll have to come along when we do a forum net or two for us southwesterners over the winter.

Definitely not too early, month off and I can't wait for preseason to start ha.

Anyone just a bit miserable since the season ended? Saturdays are a bit boring now and have to spend it doing mundane stuff like talking to the wife!!

Roll on April next year

By the end of the season it always feels like a bit of a slog to get through those final couple of games with the body falling to pieces but after a couple of weeks rest I am raring to go again and Saturdays feel tedious without a game to go to!
