James Tredwell retires

James Tredwell has announced his retirement.

He's been a great servant to Kent down the years and always gave his all when playing, be it for them or England.

I wonder if he'll start a jam and chutney business?

Good solid cricketer from a slightly selfish point of view thou it's not all bad because my friend plays for Kent and is a spinner

that's just leaves him and adam riley as two spinners(I think)

so better for him.

decent cricketer thou Treadwell wish him well especially if he is making jam

Class county servent and a lovely bloke, played a league game against him a few years back and for a Pro was a lovely bloke and for Kent has been a loyal player and always did a solid job for England

Do Kent even use spinners any more? Haven't seen much of Riley for ages.

Hasn't Joe Denly turned himself into a leg spinning all rounder, meaning he gets the role of frontline spinner?

Yes, the main spinner they play in the championship. Normally bring Qayyum in for the limited overs stuff.

Do wonder whether they’ll bring in a spinner to replace Tredwell in the off season though.
