Since you've now recorded a 'before' photo of the possible storm damage,then if it does happen to snap at that point, you will have a case.
Score some runs with it and don't worry about it any more!

It does look like storm damage, very similar marks to my 2018 bat - see the thread I've been running in the Bat Making section. How light is your bat? In my opinion storm damage is unlikely to be a problem unless the willow has been really over dried. If you can get hold of a moisture meter see what the percentage is, and post up the result in here.

i will take a look at your thread. My bat is around 2 lb 11 ounces after oiling, and i will try to get hold of a moisture meter soon. Thanks for the input!
