Dear Members,

I am contemplating buying a bat online (something I have never done before and feel very anxious about)
Could you please provide me with your opinions on the three bats I have mentioned above? Also, I would appreciate any recommendations for buying the bat online. I looked at pro-direct but they don’t weigh up bats individually and hence their service seems less personalised.

Thank you

The 3 bats listed are quite different to each other. Do you have an idea of the weight and middle position you are looking for?

Hi, if buying blind/on line I would be tempted to use one of the sponsors on here bud, they will sort you out without a doubt, or have one made by one of the sponsors, which would be my option.

With Millichamp & Hall and New Balance you're paying a premium for the name. You can get the same products cheaper with different stickers on.

If you're set on a GM then I'd contact one of the sponsors to get one. There are some lower grade bargains to be had if you shop around, and if you get lower grade models you could potentially get two for the price of one of the others mentioned

You could get 4\5 GM signatures for the price of the M&H pro LE.

May be worth giving @Six Sixes Cricket a shout they had some GM bats in the end of season sale mid/low you may want to look at the GM Chrome as well. The mama is a 540mm blade so a little shorter than the other 2 you mentioned. Personally I have used the GM neon and am converted to the slightly shorter blade option as found better for my game

Agreed with the the fact that there is a huge premium for NB and M&H bats as with most other big brands. The idea of not having held the bat in my hand to get the feel for it before paying the money is pushing me away from buying online. Thank you all for the advice.

If considering buying online though, and spending a decent but not extortionate amount, I would urge you to check out B3's website.  Fantastic sticks and you could while away many an hour looking through all the different profile possibilities.  Great fun, but also a fantastic quality product at the end of it.

Thanks Stevat! I wonder how much difference does the “Limited edition” makes as opposed to the standard version (3 stripes for B3) is the price increment justified?
