As people know I am in Aus and organised an Ambassador Package with ACE Cricket as they are based in the town I am based in. I picked up the kit on Thursday so here are some pics and first impressions:

First impressions are good. The thigh pads are well made, fit well and are comfy. The gloves are the same. Pads have good build quality, but the white ones could do with slightly more padding on the top strap as that was rubbing slightly when I used them, though possibly because they were just out the bag. The bag is great, fits everything in comfortably, well made and I like the touch of having the website etc on the underside. The bats pick up well, have a nice profile and sound good whilst I am still running them in. There are a couple of finishing issues- little nicks on the toe and a rough bit by the top sticker/shoulder on one, but overall I am pleased. One has a very clean face, the other a couple of dark marks- one bat was chosen for me, I got to choose the other and chose the one with a couple of marks because of the way it picked up. I will most likely end up getting some of the VICE gloves I posted the other week and some keeping stuff. I would have been keen to get a duffle bag but they only do customised club duffles rather than a standard issue.

My first impression was the soft gears look good but the thigh pads looked very nice for an off the shelf option. Something I'm sure our Aussie Forumites will be looking into!

The thigh pad is really comfy but the front one isn't the biggest for a mens size. Still gives me confidence that I'll be protected though.

Bought two sets of the Vice gloves, look great and really comfy when trying them on. Using at nets Thursday for the first time.

Scored all my 8 runs off Fricky, the guy who runs Ace, on Saturday, before being caught by him off his clubs Welsh overseas who is his other UK ambassador.
