What to get from India? Recommendations required Please
« on: October 11, 2018, 12:17:42 PM »

Hi peeps
So i have a friend's family coming from India and he has offered me to let him know whatever i want them to bring from their. I need couple of pairs of gloves, can you guys suggest best quality gloves coming out of india in terms of comfort and feel etc. Heard a lot about BAS players sausage gloves. Any others apart from these?
Dont hesitate to add any other piece of kit that i shall get even recommendations for some bats ;)
thanks

Ibrar you won't get better than Robinson after your bat you showed

You could get other players I like DSC and get a player's version

As in actual players

And sausage fingers is the way to go

You are right and tbh the grains structure i have on my RS i.e evenly spaced grains on front and back and same going through toe is what i have seen on bats costing 800 dollars plus here in au.
Bat is quality no doubt but my dilema now is gloves. I love CA’s players edition but they tend to torn apart pretty soon so wanted to get some better quality gloves with great comfort level. I have tried gray nicolls costing over 150 dollars but they tend to be very big for my hands and the aussie firting is not snug enoigh.

You nailed it first time. Buy a sh.. ton of BAS Players Edition because a) they are awesome gloves and b) they will easily sell for a profit if you move some on as they are so popular
Will get one in lower grade now i think.
But gloves i will surely get bas

Try SS Millenium Pro Gloves. Highly recommended. And SM Swagger Pittards (if this year’s color scheme is sober enough— they can get pretty wild).

They look nice but aren't as flexible or comfortable and the palms aren't up to the same standard. Not bad but I'd choose the BAS every time

Atm i have about 10 pairs each of bas players and dhoni 7s. I actually rate the comfort on par (change my mind from time to time which is better). Many friends that try each prefer ss dhoni 7 fit and comfort.
I agree that the palms on the bas players feel more luxurious,  but the dhonis last about as long (coming from a guy who sweats acid and goes through 6+ pairs of gloves a year ). The dhoni 7s come in normal sheep leather and also perforated palm sheep leather . The normal are about on par with bas , the perforated not so much .
Colour wise , more people like the all white dhonis to bas players , so overall id say the dhoni 7s are about as good/close an alternative as possible.
