So what's the answer ?

To make the penalty for any form of corruption life in exile. Essentially if you cheat you are instantly kicked out the game. That way, people will still do it but the 'threat' of their career being ended is then very real. With the fact we've had some of the spot fixers in 2010 and sandpapergate recently and those players could/will be or are back in game just isn't a deterrent.

If you know that even a simple act of using dirt, sand paper, finger nails all the way up to match fixing will get your kicked out.. YOu will find 99.9% of players won't even entertain the thought as it'll be too risky. Add in the ICC putting more finances into education of players and the detection.

You stand up or you don't. If you don't then you pay the price with your career. It's a impossible choice but there is no other way because when it comes to money.. people are corrupt

Can see how some legitimate men or cricketers May have been forced into this choice
Of spot fixing

Wouldn't want to be a cricketer threatened

It happens sadly. However, there is and can be no excuse for doing it. Otherwise, where do you draw the line? As we see, the line gets blurred and lawyers get involved and generally you end up not actually doing any good.. Hence we can't even keep out known cheats, let alone those who haven't been caught.
All sports will have it, the fact it's not caught is testimony to the lack of action against it
