David Warner In The News
« on: October 27, 2018, 03:29:06 PM »

So, this happened...

http://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id/25094376/david-warner-walks-mid-innings-alleged-sledge

Can't say he is much liked by his fellow cricketers in AUS.

Anyone else laugh whilst reading that :D. - Years of abusing and sledding others - and he walks off the field from someone sledging him back.

Must be the most hated cricketer to play the game. Still enjoy watching him bat

Granted everyone hates Warner for being a fool but I found it a tad embarrassing that the brother of the late Phillip Hughes was the once taunting Warner. Supposedly Warner and Phillip Hughes where close friends. And Warner was present in when the latter was badly hurt and subsequently passed away. Seems petty

Warner is not a fool he is vile sledger and a cheat. Philip Hughes death was a chance for the Australian cricket team to re think their ethos and the way they play the game. Despite words at the time to this effect they chose to go in the complete opposite direction. Warner has had a big influence on the team until very recently.

I hope Australia change, they need to but can only do it thru actions not words. It's up to them.

Warner....unlike Smith and Bancroft could find himself in permanent exile .I don't think the players or public want him representing them.

Could be wrong.....it's hard to make an opinion sat in London, but that's mine.

I don't hate him for being a fool! I don't even think he's a fool! I think he's a total little squirt and bully! He needs bringing down a peg or two.

Thing is, this was a chance for Warner to man up. Try his it's off on the field, say his piece if needs be, then take the bloke for a beer after.

But no. He can dish it out, but cries like a baby when it comes back. Hypocritical, disgraceful.

And then he went on to score a ton.

Think this one runs a little deeper than a simple sledge on a Saturday afternoon, a lot of emotion here.

There is a LOT of bad blood between the Hughes family and NSW players, of which Warner was one. From memory don't believe the evidence given in court was honest and feel some blame must be apportioned to NSW for the tactics used on the day Hughes died.

I was wondering about the Hughes' angle. That's pretty bad then!
