Mars Cricket
« on: November 24, 2018, 09:51:58 PM »

Evening all, does anyone know much about Mars Cricket and there kit?

I ask as I have been offered a sponsorship for 2019 based on an application from a lad at my club who is sponsored by them ( although he is sponsored and plays county level age cricket he uses 2 Mars stickered TK bats that he has had prior to sponsorship) so unsure about the bats. Softs seem decent from what I’ve seen in the flesh quite generic to plenty of other brands

Pretty good kit was my view, again similar to your mate didn’t use the bats but the softs were good, comfortable and lightweight

Seen one of their bats used by an opposition player last season. It was the worst sounding and performing bat I’ve seen in a long time.

They have supplied terrible teamwear to a number of clubs in Middlesex.  Their standard tactic is Mars who is a reasonable player plays a season at the club gets them to use teamwear and then moves elsewhere.

I'm pretty sure they aren't UK made

There is a Facebook offer of 2 bats and a pair of gloves for £150, can’t see the bats being uk made at that price

Def not UK made bats, couple of previous clubmates bought them when they had a sale on a few seasons ago. One was absolutely massive but both were planks!

Cheers gents think I’ll just stick to my current kit, thanks all for your feedback. As has been said the price was stupidly cheap for what I was being offered although the bat visually was a lovely bat

No idea if it's still the case but they have had bats and softs made by Champ (MJ International).
