Questioning the accuracy of the speed guns this WC - claiming a fair few bowling over 90 including Russell today.

Pak getting peppered with short balls and struggling.

WI definitely have the muscle in their bowling lineup to do that consistently. Its a strategy that could work very well against the teams from the subcontinent.

If Paikstan batsmen are struggling this much against the short, sharp ball...I suspect that both Wood and Archer may both get a game on Monday.
Not impressed with the shot choice.

uh, yeah!

I've been playing and watching cricket for near enough 35 years and its in the top five catches of my lifetime.

What? It really wasn't that good. You see plenty of amazing diving one-handed boundary catches nowadays, many significantly harder and more athletic than that. I don't think it would even get into the top 5 catches I've seen in the last 12 months.

- and this is before we mention the fact that if he hadn't made a spectacularly bad read on the ball in the first place and started coming in when he should have been going back, he wouldn't have even had to dive.

Exactly my thoughts on that Stokes catch...a good reflex made up for bad judgement. I felt it was more luck than skill honestly.

All I’ve seen is Pakistan getting out to 78mph half trackers.

Are you suggesting holding and braithwaite normally bowl in the 60s??

Already looking like the short ball World Cup. Almost every side has a 90mph merchant or two as well so could see it continue. This game's over, but Wahab Riaz's opening spell could be worth watching after this...
