There probably top of the middle pack of ODI teams but well behind England & India now and you can probably add WI into the top 3 ODI teams with New Zealand very close I think then SA and Australia. Saying that now Aussies have the 2 cheats back that could all change.
I think the Aussies (coming off away series wins against india and Pakistan, without, arguably, their two best players) probably deserve a bit more credit than that. Plus wins against England and the Windies in the warm ups probably put them with the top 3 or 4 teams on form alone.
And if we are still acting like children and calling people cheats, I recently read a very interesting article about Monty Panesar and some things he admitted in his new book.
Unfortunately for SA it was always going to be a rough time without AB. Steyn is injured more than he isnt these days, Amla is a shadow of his former self and KG and Faf can't win it on their own. DeKock is a player but there is two much of a gap between his best and his worst, whether or not the quota system is to blame is a mystery but tough times ahead for the Saffas in all forms of the game.
