Carey has batted well here.

Australia with a bit more intent early on could have won this.

First 20 overs seemed like England of old..... maybe not that slow but close.

Quality of the umpiring this World cup has been extremely poor - another one today.

SA lose Amla early. No Russ for Windies

The India Australia game was much closer than it finally ended up on the score board. If England was chasing then England probably would have won.

Have to say, I have found watching West Indies at this World Cup thoroughly dismal which is somewhat of a surprise.

I find their seam attack really tiresome to watch, short ball after short ball. Dot or wide. Feels like the pace of the game is really slow when this is happening. Not great for the neutral but effective I guess for now. Think they will struggle if they don't make early inroads as they don't have a Plan B it seems

Well I got to see 7 and a bit overs, a nice boundary, a Gayle catch and 2 Cottrell celebrations today.

Looks like there will be no further play and a full refund of the ticket price

When you see an old faded great of the game, Amla, become a walking wicket, you have up question why he’s not retiring. He’s long past his best and in all honesty he’s embarrassing himself.

Perhaps because all other viable options are cash hungry mercenaries and the cupboard is looking bare. Embarrassing is a word I would associate with SA cricket as a whole.

I think your anger should be towards the players who aren't there Gerry and the reasons behind that. Not Amla who although undoubtedly out of form at least hasnt turned his back on his country like the few dozen kolpaks in County cricket have.

You'd only have bottled it in the semis anyway

Think you’ve got me confused with someone else, who the fudge is Gerry?

Secondly London born and raised to whether South Africa choked in R1, semi final or final - I don’t care in the slightest.

I was merely commenting after seeing various social media posts regarding Amla and making out he was a ‘bum’. And tbh Amla has been in decline for a long time now so he should’ve pulled the pin and retired. He’s literally got no option but to quit now.

Is weather going to get better in England? At least two matches have been impacted by weather. What a shame, the tournament was becoming so interesting and then rain...

Meh.

Make it three, there's no way they're getting a full game on in Bristol today!

Probably won't be a game tomorrow either.
Why not play the WC in July-Aug? Best weather, school holidays etc.

So far been a poor WC - Over priced tickets, pitches not up to scratch and far too many one sided games.

Any idea why no game at Lords apart from the final? Very odd that. Least lords can fit 20,000+ unlike some of the other venues being used
