Any idea why no game at Lords apart from the final? Very odd that. Least lords can fit 20,000+ unlike some of the other venues being used

There are games at Lord's, just not until later in June: https://i.redd.it/scas81lwgbu01.jpg. And at any rate, there's plenty of matches to go round, so why not spread them around the country and make it more easily accessible?

Sorry my mistake, bit odd that only a certain number of teams are playing at lords and not every side given a game there.

Dhawan has fractured his thumb and will miss the matches against New Zealand/Pakistan. Pretty decent effort to score a 100 in their last game with a busted mitt.

Yeah I'd agree, though if you wanted to do that without having a disproportionate number of games at Lord's, you'd end up with some of the less popular fixtures that might not sell out

I actually think the organisers have got the allocation about right,

we need to spread the game across the country, and no matter when we play it were likely to get rain.

what i massively dissagree with is only having 10 teams in the world cup!

Ireland zimbabwe and Scotland should 100% be here, not to mention that fact the USA have just been granted ODI status, every ODI side and the top associates (even some of the (No Swearing Please) associates should be there!

grow the game!!!! who wouldn't like ot see the world cup at county out grounds even if it is USA VS PNG

It's a tournament not a tour, who cares how many are at Lord's..?

I do actually quite like this format, but would still rather see 16 teams in groups of 4 a la f***ball.

I agree - A lot of the County grounds are struggling at the moment - personally I'd love to have seen those warmup matches plaid at the smaller grounds like Chelmsford etc. That was crucial revenue that the smaller clubs could really have done with.

Could do with more days that have 2 games in them though, just to shorten the first phase slightly.

The good  bit re the one game a day format is there's a live match on the telly every day.

We have a game!

This game is going to be played on a green top  ;). Both teams going with seamers and dropping their spinners

Game of two ends here. Amir utilising the conditions perfectly whereas Shaheen bowling half trackers and getting smashed around.

Australia century opening stand, Finch passed 50. Pakistan pretty toothless and not helping themselves by dropping Finch twice
