Top 4 all but sealed with over half way through this tournament. Quite a few dead rubbers coming up.
The pitches have to improve - today’s was extremely poor but made good viewing

Bangladesh is the only team with any kind of a chance left, but they have to win all 4 games and I do not see that happening, with 2 of the games left is against Aus and India.  For the sake of the rest of the WC and entertainment for folks who spent money to watch it live at the, I hope we still have some upsets.

Pak are all but out of the tournament.

There are rumors:
- of groups/clicks within the team where Shoaib Malik, Imad Wasim, Imam Ul, and Wahab Riaz are plotting to overthrow Sarfaraz from captaincy.
- Chief selector Inzimam and coach Mickey Arthur interfering in the decision making process of the captain and undermining him.
- Hasan Ali has always been a pain for Sarfaraz.

Where as in the PCB administration:
- Boards members are fighting over re-structuring plans of the domestic cricket in Pak. New PM wants to overhaul the system and old timers just won't cave

If this format of for the World Cup is going to continue then there must be support for moving to the IPL style system of top 4 where you are rewarded for finishing 1st.

That way you stop the meaningless games at the end etc...

I've enjoyed all the photos of Pakistan lads eating burgers. Ahahahahahaha.

Also today's game is another sign of the top 4 we're going to see; see you all in 3 weeks

Khawaja selling maxwell up the river.

Maxwell on 32 of 10 hitting sixes for fun. And khawaja has no hesitation in making sure it wasn’t himself who got run out!

Khawaja gone for 89 anyway, the selfish git should have run in hindsight...

Bangladesh chased 322 in 41.3 overs at Taunton. Anything under 385 and the Aussies will be nervous!  ;)

Rain stops play after 49 overs, leading to a half hour delay.
The teams will go back out for one over, then have a half hour interval between innings.

Is there any other sport where you could get a scenario even similar to that is a World Cup?

You never know with Maxwell but his wicket might’ve cost Australia another 20-40 runs. He was smashing it like an axe man.

Surely the Umpires could have looked up at any point in the last 10 overs and created a bit of urgency amongst the players, what a waste of half an hour, it baffles me how wrong cricket gets things sometimes.

Umpiring going downhill thanks to DRS etc. On field umpires are relying on TV umpires too much. They don't give clear run outs anymore but signal for third umpires. I don't know if they been told to play safe and go for tv all times to save them from rage. But I would like on field decisions like good old days especially for LBW and run outs.

333 isn’t a bad score for Bangladesh against aus.

There’s have dreamed off that a few years ago. I’m impressed with them. Triely believe they are the 5th best odi side in the world at mo.

And had the put that on as a first innings score, aus May have not done so well under pressure....... but we will never know.
