it is but when your other opener is second int he tournament with 16 its offset slightly.

Bowling isnt just about individuals, together wood and archer are averaging 26.78 (thats over all overs theyve bowled not just in partnership)

you could credit some of jofras wickets to that partnership where woakes has bowled tightly early on so theyve gone after jofra etc.

As we've all said, and im pretty sure @Seniorplayer you have too, stats only give us part of the picture, and im not saying my point above is crystal clear but all stats and data can be manipulated easily to make whatever point you want

Woakes is not the problem.. not sure why people keep targeting him. He is a good bowler and a handy bat. For all the firepower, the bowling line up is inexperienced. There is no senior bowler in this team. Archer and Wood have pace, but will struggle when batsmen dig in and dont look to attack.

yes well said. very well said.He is class and modest about his achievements

if your talking technique compared to Root,Kholi and Smith then from what I have seen Williamson is closest to text book.

you don't have to be text book to score runs of course, but if anyone is looking for the correct stance,shots and balance, I think he is the best.

Yeah he's up there with the best. Without him NZ would n't be half the side they are. Great player. Can you imagine him Kholi, Root and Smith as a middle order!

No side would ever pick all four in the same playing XI, assuming it's an ODI. Kohli bats 3 then you pick one of the others to bat at 4.

Root has opened with some success, Williamson is basically an opener due to NZs recent form, Kholi and Smith bat at 3 and 4 respectively anyway. I don't see any issue with fitting them into the same line up haha

Conditions dependent really, on a flat pancake most sides would want a biffer or two. On a bowler friendly track naturally proper batsmen can do a better job.

Big statement that considering they're arguably the best 4 batsmen in the world right now in any format. Are you saying you wouldn't open with Smith, Root or Williamson instead of Vince right now if you were an England selector??! Or South Africa wouldn't have them all in their top 6 at present? Not to mention the lesser nations.
