Such is life... and the way things pan out...

If Pak had played Sri Lanka they would probably have another point and New Zealand gained a point for a washed out India game...

Based on that I thought Pakistan were very unlucky to miss out. Like always they got stronger as the tournament progressed... Meeting India again in the semis or final would have been a great match!

Very glad Pakistan are out after a bowling performance like that

Give it a few years and they will have a very good bowling attack. Shaheen is very young, you still have Hasnain (19) and Shinwari (25) who can get up to 90mph or close...

Shadab is still young but has valuable experience and Amir will still be in his pomp... It does make you think how good Amir would have been if he hadn't been coerced by Butt and Asif and lost 5 years at the top level...

Imam and Fakhar have a good understanding... just need a bit more depth in the batting ... I think the next few years could be good for Pakistan fans... Unsure about Test cricket though ... :(

Imam and Fakhar have a good understanding...

I really hope that Pakistan take a closer look at their opening duo. Imam can't handle short ball and struggles against genuine quicks. Fakhar is hit-or-miss, more miss than hit.

They have a tendency to stick with wrong guys namely Malik and Hafeez.

Bring Rizwan in the fold and groom him. Bring other young batsmen to replace Imam. Yes shocking that I want him gone even though he scored a century. He was horrible during the tourney. Maybe try Harris Suhail.

I like the opening pair... just going through a bad patch.. they can improve and iron out faults... no need for knee jerk reaction...

But def better middle order required...

^ It's not a bad patch, they lack good technique. They get found out against good bowling. 4 years is plenty of time to find new guys and get them ready for 2023 CWC. I don't understand this mentality of persisting with incapable players. Hafeez? Sho Malik? Had they not played Harris Suhail, the ranking would've been even worse. Time for drastic measure. Selectors did a horrible job as well.

They missed out on a semi final place based on net run rate and 2 rained off games... signs are positive  ..

At least we agree re the middle order...👍🏼

Decent rescuing 100 from Mathews there.

Bumrah excellent as always.
As was jadeja. Not really sure why he doesn’t play.

As India have got less than 300 to chase, we reckon they will have a crack at it?

So who is paying him, Ton or Masuri?

It's an unusual one, protection will be all masuri and using a ton bat. There's not quite the money people think there is with sponsorship and it"s getting tighter.

Rohit setting a few records today. First man to score 5 centuries in one World Cup. Equals Tendulkar’s 6 World Cup hundreds. Third consecutive century as well. Also the highest run scorer in this World Cup. Decent day at the office for old Rohit

India outclass Sri Lanka winning at a canter by 7 wickets and plenty of overs to spare.
