Bad from Bairstow but Roy as the non striker must have advised him too. Awful umpiring, he really didn't look sure at all

No Roy won’t be banned more likely lose 50% match fee and a demerit point. I would be asking Jonny to pay that though. He must have known he didn’t hit it and it pitched middle and hit half way up middle.

That umpire should be banned though always thought he was an awful umpire

Dharmasena has form for making truly (No Swearing Please) decisions too, how he's still allowed to umpire international cricket is a mystery!

I know you cannot have unlimited reviews but the whole idea of DRS was too elimate the shocker. That's the official line

so in a situation where DRS clearly shows he has not hit it the pnly way for the system to work is if the shocker is overturned......

Roy had 1 demerit point from the pakistan series, two points and its a test or 2 odi/t20 ban

he could be in bother

You receive a ban if you accumulate 4 demerit points not 2

Then only use it when you feel you've got a shocker and not when you're absolutely plumb but decide to give it a crack because you're 0/100 and hey why not..

hearing you loud and clear on that but that does not change why it was brought in in the first place.

human nature being what it is......Bairstow burned our review that would of saved Roy.Agree with you there.

As it is, the 'shocker' still can exist under the system

I think it depends what level breach it is, a level 1 breach and he is fine a level 2 breach carries 3-4 demerit points from what I've been able to find online. I can't see dissent and abusing your gear and facilities just as a level 1 breach though.

The DRS system is (No Swearing Please), but unfortunately it's the least bad option.

Delighted the way these semi-finals have gone, Virat already whining all the way home.and now us stuffing the Aussies. Dreamy.

Dissent is a level 1 offence, he didn't abuse his gear did he? Unless I missed something

Couldn't have been better. Love stuffing the aussies, especially after how they acted after the Roy wicket.

I think if used as the ICC has laid it out to be used then there just shouldn't be shockers, unfortunately as batsmen we usually think everything that doesn't send our stumps flying or is marginal at worst is a pretty awful decision :D
