off season social actiivites
« on: December 04, 2018, 03:51:41 PM »

any ideas welcome,

a few of my teammates and i went out for a meal over the weekend and all agreed it should be something we do more often, what does anyone else do? is it purely meals out to stay connected or are more adventurous plans made,

obviously we will want to try and keep it varied and include as many people as possible

We've done pool nights, poker nights, currys and footgolf, golf day.
None have been hugely well attended but its all good morale boosting stuff and makes a few quid for the club along the way.

Would love to hear others ideas too.

We play football weekly which is good fun, as well as social events throughout the winter, 12 pubs of Xmas and the like are always a good laugh. Curry nights, poker nights even a “gentleman only” night (the girls get a ladies day in the summer so it’s only fair... let your imagination run wild!

We have entered our club into a winter darts league. We had a few issues with break ins last winter so we now have the club used every week for darts. In addition we invested in a new bar last season and have found darts is great for bringing extra funds into the club as over the first 10 weeks we have taken over £1100 in additional bar takings. And best of all it keeps us all in contact with each other and even those that don’t want to play come down for a beer and a laugh.
