Just wondered if anyone else had seen the new Salix Rascal, same stickers as salix bats but the colour at the bottom is blue.

Saw this on Talent Cricket a while back.

Is this bat aimed at Junior players? As its Kashmir willow i take it they are produced overseas then not in their factory?

Interesting to see that such an upmarket company are appealing to the lower standard of cricket players and first time starters. A good move in my opinion, having the quality of a brand like Salix at an affordable price.

yes a junior bat, and yes they are produced overseas.  but they are all finished and stickered in the uk from what i understand as the finish they can get over here is far superior to the foreign bat makers.  i have seen a couple, beautiful finish and some quite nice kashmir.

Yes i can picture Salix only buying in quality Kashmir, after all why would they try and ruin their established brand which is developing nicely in both terms of reputation and sales across many stores now.

Just about every brand does it and its all about costs and profit margins and volumes and a lot of the stuff coming in from India is of very very good quality.

I will get one of those and do a full review as I need a bowling machine bat, and this looks suitable!

I spoke to Andrew about the finish and thought he did it himself but he assured me it was completely finished in India and they get them in like it, have to say this put's Kashmir willow in it's place. Very well shaped and looking bat selling at a full RRP of £35, no real competitor for it, best in class.
