My new custom BlankBats
« on: December 22, 2018, 12:04:07 PM »

I've been in contact with Tai for a little while about new bat. I was originally tempted by a B1 as my match bat is a similar shape from a different company and it's currently being held together by lots of glue! However, I messaged him to see if he could source me a full SH bat, that has a mid middle, convex profile that weighs around 2.10. He let me know he had something special in stock and sent me photos of this beauty, I couldn't say no as I didn't expect to get such a bat in that weight.

I would highly recommend speaking to blankbats if you are after a new stick, the whole process was easy and Tai was great to deal with. The bat taps up great and the middle on this bat is absolutely HUGE! The only small niggle was that the box came a bit mangled up and there is a very minor dent on the side of the bat, it's not BB's fault though, just overworked couriers at this time of year I suspect.

Specifications:
Edge size - 37mm
Spine height - 60mm
Weight - 2.9
Concaving - Convex

Very nice, the B1 profile is spot on - Tai never fails to deliver a quality stick whatever your budget

Wow. That's a beauty for sure!! Are BB handles thicker than the regular TK in general?

Not sure what his own handles are like, but I've just bought a B1 also which has a thin handle, it will definitely need at least one more grip.

Ok. I remember Paul saying in one of his videos a while back that BB have thicker handles across the range. Maybe that no longer holds with recent ones.

Very nice bat - I love this shape and it's balance.

Honestly, BB are kind of bats which requires time investment. Just don't use anything until this bat breaks and this will score you heaps of runs!
