I'm as fussy as the next bat nuffie but 0.5oz is about the weight of a scuff sheet... if that's bothering you then it's definitely you that's the problem, not the weight!

I'm not sure about the whole lever analogy. I've been thinking about it a bit and we don't really lever pivot from the grip, more like it should be felt further up the arm, maybe in the shoulder joint. That where the shot is pivoting from.

Got an interesting reply from GM - not sure why concaving the bat by a couple of millimetres would make it more prone to damage...

Update:

Spoke to Kev at GM head batmaker (possibly) and discussed removing some weight from the bat - no problems at all so will be sending it in for a slight weight reduction this week

The bat is back 1.5oz lighter and still looking a sizeable bat. Picks up much better but won’t be getting a look in anytime soon, my old faithful has scored me close to 100 runs last 2 league games

Will post photos next couple of days
