I’ve had a hit with all 10 now, both against the bola, and against the filth served up in early pre-season nets. There’s one that feels a little bit firmer than the rest, so that’s going to be my net bat. The rest all feel buttery soft and are pingtastic. Can’t wait for April to arrive.

My daughters pal has one of stokes bats that she won in a fundraising raffle at her local club in Co . Durham.

I will see if I can get some pics of it when they are next at training.
