@edge , good approach! I think having an open mind trying different ideas and seeing what works for you is key.
It was suggested (but upto me) to keep a little notebook and write things down, coaching session notes. I've just gotten a nice little A6 notebook with a little pen holder.
After having a think I have decided I am going to write my coaching and net session thoughts and tips down. Also for each innings before and after notes. What I thought i was going to do and what I did
Really want to think about what I am doing and analyse it. Normally routine - turn up have a swing - have a moan... repeat the following week!

I used to know someone who would keep a log of all his scores in a spreadsheet ( he wasn't even that good but each to their own, I don't judge
), but nothing beyond that.
