Morning all

have seen Alex Carey and Tim Paine wearing some new Kooks gloves in the last few weeks. they match up to my club colours perfectly so im hoping someone can point me in the direction of where I can get them.

I would have thought like most coloured kit you would have to get them made for you by Kookaburra. Worth contacting a retailer to see if they can help or contacting kookaburra direct (https://www.kookaburra.biz/en-gb/about/contact/)

The Pro 2000 model is yellow but has black as the secondary colour rather than green. So I think that the ones Paine and Carey used are a special 'national colour' version.

Hey mate,

How much did it all come to? Postage, customs etc?

Also, what are they like? I have the brad haddins and they’re my favourite pair I’ve ever had so got very nostalgic and overly excited when I saw them come back!!

I can't speak for customs etc but I did buy a pair fo myself.

In comparison to the GM OLE (which I previously used for as long as I can remember) they definitely were not as supple out of the packet. Putting them on they in my mind were noticeably heavier and definitely felt like you were wearing a glove as stupid as that sounds. With the OLE you could almost forget you had them on at all.

The feel improves quite quickly though and the the grip shape is interesting and nothing I have seen before. Very sticky and at the very least on par with octopus grip. The build quality is superior and I think they will hold up longer as I could never get more than a season out of the GM. GM also seem to have an issue with missing padding on the palm whereas I haven't had a problem wearing these.

At the end of the day its a top quality glove and you wouldn't be disappointed in it. Especially when nostalgia comes into it!

@Dooey__  I got our overseas to get his missus to bring a pair with her when she came to visit, so I saved on all he shipping and customs.

agree they aren't as match ready as others I have bought, the Haddin 1000's and classic silvers I bought previously were pretty much ready to go out of the bag. Have been using them in warm ups and training and they have loosened up nicely now, only thing I found was they were quite small for a mens size compared to UK gloves. did you find the same @glutton ? was only able to fit some thin inners on underneath.

planning on using them for their first match this weekend, or at least the first part so will have my silvers in the bag just in case

Probably are a bit on the smaller side. I tried my new balance and gray nicolls padded inners and wouldn't use that setup in a game due to it being a bit tight. The kook inners are thinner though and haven't had an issue with them.

im going to use my kooks batting inners as with any padded inners they are too tight, im sure they will give a bit more over time though

update: wore them with kookaburra ultimate inners and fitted perfectly, pretty expensive for inners but for the comfort its worth it. gloves have now loosened up nicely and feel great. quality wise they are easily the best ive bought. well worth the money

They look nice mate. Was tempted to source a pair myself as they would go with our club colours.

Stumpy.
