Bit of an odd question, but i thought it might be interesting to get peoples views and experiences -

what do people think are the most 'cushioned' or 'bouncy' cricket shoes? I've tried a couple of brands that i feel are a bit hard, less cushioned, particularly on sun baked outfields.

Seeing as I'm built for comfort and not speed, I think I'd like my shoes to reflect this!

Payntrs or Asics for me.

I get really bad pain in my heels throughout the cricket season and these are the only two brands that I've worn that I don't.

For me the adidas boost is the comfiest and bounciest cricket shoe. Although I'm not a fan of the plastic spikes as I find they don't give nearly as much grip as traditional spikes.

I�ve always used ASICS with inserts to stop my pronation. Works a treat for me cushioning wise, I am also built for comfort not stealth!

Sorry can i jump in on this thread... looking for batting spikes. Thinking of trying adidas as I have a pair of white trainers use sometimes and they are comfy.

What's the difference between the howzat range and vectors? Or Boosts?
The Howzats are cheaper? What are they conceding on?

I used sl22 this year, mega comfy and light, (No Swearing Please) grip tho
My old asics will be binned, hoping I can pick a new pair of Adidas up for this season

You don't know how they are fit wise? Are they similar to their trainers?

My boost spikes are easily the best cricket-specific shoes I've had, I also own ultraboosts and think the cushioning is very similar despite the boost layer being thinner in the cricket shoe.
@Yorkershire the fit is very close to the trainer, I have the same size cricket shoe and trainer

The howzats are a hybrid shoe so offer more protection for the ankle when bowling but are heavier as a result. The sl22s are designed soley for batting so are lighter.

I bowled 110 overs last season in mine, ok for bowling too,(at least at my dibbly dobbly pace)

Thanks gone with the Sl22s. I use NB 4040 for fielding, I hardly bowl but have a bad ankle and like the extra support.
