Forum regional matches
« on: February 18, 2010, 09:25:48 PM »

What do people think to dividing up the country into regions and having a few inter region matches made up of pure forum member teams this coming season?

We could have South West, South East, Midlands & North as a starter, maybe a few Jazz Hat matches during the week and a 20/20 tournament on a Bank Holiday Sunday?

Your thoughts?

Looks like you better see if you can form teams and see if they will travel.

I know there is no way we can include everyone due to geography but if possible worth looking at.

The principal sounds good,  i would say just stick to a 20/20 tournament! Would be class though

Sounds like a good plan mate if the forum 6's tournament never gets arranged! Tied up at weekends once the season  starts though but dont really play much 20/20 as its only friendly stuff at our club bar the cup matches....Think there may be a tough selection process to get in the SW side with all the Somerset lot on here!

It is a good idea in principal, but would need a decent backing,

That's alright - Mongoose, SAFFY, Talisman, Ayrtek, Hell4Leather, Redback & Kicking Horse - they'd all sponsor it.

In fact that is the way to go, forum members who make kit can take out sponsorship of teams and pitch up with a trade stand for the day, 44 compulsive buyers guaranteed plus likely to get many more coming to watch.

I know the ground, has the road to Fleet running round the outside if it's the one I'm thinking of.

I'm up for it if its over a bank holiday weekend or something like that, id be heading down from Newcastle and could fit another 4 plus all the kit in if people want a lift down as long as its more or less on the way.

Dont think theres enough of our northeners to propose it to be held there! I would suggest somewhere in Gloucester (excuse spelling)
