well you pay a little more with a smaller company but what you get back from people like yourselves is well worth the extra cost

The first cricket box was used in 1874.  The first cricket helmet was introduced in 1974. So, it took 100 years for men to twig that their brains were also worth protecting.

A superb write up, helmets are the piece of kit you shouldn't go cheap on, a dislocated jaw sounds awful.

Can you come up with an ACIS box, I seem to get hit in the pills a lot! (I know I should try using my bat)

Tom, great review. Threw up a question in my head though. Are you patented? Could the ACIS system really take off in other sports? Are lastly, how are you going about selling in to other cricket playing countries, like Aus?

Yes mate 2nd patent in my name now....the paperwork involved in getting there in unbeliveable as well as the costs but worth it in the long run. weve had people offer to be agents in other countries already and sell it on our behalf but would have to do our homework before going down that route.

Yeah its  question of planning and marketing strategy i think having done our homework and R and D in proving the technology works and is safer than other helmets available on the market proving they arent just a "gimmick".

could be a market in all these winter olympic sports for the A.S.I.C, luge, skeleton. Ski snowboard

To be Honest I think it would work well in any helmet!

To my suprise we just had an MMi3 reviewed by them. http://www.cricket365.com/soapbox/story/5980416/Gearing-Up-Mongoose-MMi3-Bat

Disagree with parts obviously and it seems he didn't get used to the extra batspeed. But as a review goes seems very fair, balance and well informed. Will be keeping an eye out on the rest of their reviews.
