Surridge Curve cricket bat
« on: March 14, 2019, 06:29:16 PM »

Evening all. So thought i would share this new bat that i was able to source through @king pair and would like top thank him his help.
After seeing Surridge mentioned and King pair working for them I spoke with him as i has always really liked the look of the kit mainly the softs tbh and didn’t know much about the bats. I told him what i like which is light weight, duck bill toe with a full shape and oval handle. I also don’t these days spend much more than £200 max on my bats as i have found performance is in no way associated to cost.

So this is what i picked, not the prettiest bat and is true to its G3 grade, however having a forum member on the inside enabled me to ensure performance was decent. And sure enough she is an ugly pinger.
What I wasn’t expecting was the sheer size for the weight. This is 2.76 fully dressed, 38mm edges and totally full shape.
Initially. I am impressed as the pick up & balance are great. I will add to this review once used at nets but here are a few pics

I like the profile! I'm with you on the cost=performance malarky, just bought a G&M Autograph, G3 for £70 and it's a right ugly Pinger but I love it, absolute monster of a bat.

Thanks Chris,

Glad to be of service, walking round the warehouse tapping bats up isn’t really work to me so always happy to help people.
If anyone else is interested in seeing some of the stock then don’t hesitate to get in touch. There’s in in the lower grades and we will soon be receiving more.

I’m hoping that we will be able to advertise on here very soon. Watch this space

As we allowed to ask/speculate as to where they are made?

Extremely competitive by today’s standards.

Equipment isn’t the main side of our business, teamwear is. Although now I’m with surridge I’m hoping to put some time into the equipment side and grow it again.

Bats are indian made by a very reputable factory. As also mentioned I’m on hand to pick you something to your needs

Looks like a lovely bat, i really like the simple branding too.  What are the handles like? is it fair to say that sometimes the indian made bats can have rather thin handles or am i out of line with that?

Maybe i'll treat myself to some new kit for the summer :)

Handles to me seem completely standard but Chris @SOULMAN1012  your opinion carries more weight here.

@play-yourself-in I can definitely help you with some new gear for the season. I’ll very shortly have images of the new pads and gloves and the stickers are being finalised as we speak
